Interested in being a member of our dynamic, motivated and enthusiastic "Race Crew"? Please send an email to RaceDirector@loyalistkostri.ca providing your name and the location where you would prefer to be placed and we will gladly add your name to our list of volunteers. There is no guarantee that you will be placed in your preferred position but we will attempt to locate you there. Here are some areas of the race where volunteers are needed:
- Lap counters for the swimmers in the pool
- Directing the athletes in the Transition Zone
- Directing the athletes and assisting the OPP in traffic control on the bike route
- Staffing the aid stations on the run route providing water and directions
- Handing out medals and refreshments at the finish line.
PLEASE NOTE: All "Race Crew" members will be required to wear the LKOST "Race Crew" shirt provided and cheer, yell, encourage and smile enthusiastically when dealing with one of our athletes. Volunteers will be instructed on their duties prior to the start of the race. If you have any questions please contact the Race Director.
All volunteers will receive a "Race Crew" T-shirt, post race food & refreshments and a chance to win some draw prizes.
