Routes:

Swim:
Will be in the heated indoor pool of the W. J. Henderson Recreation Centre. The pool is 5 lanes wide and 25 meters long. There will be a maximum of 2 athletes in each lane and the race marshals will count the number of lengths you have to swim. The race marshal will indicate when you have two lengths left to swim (they will place a flutterboard in your side of the lane as you approach the turn).

Bike Route:
The bike course features an out and back ride for all age groups (see chart above for distances). All roads are paved and in good to excellent condition. Download the map here as a GIF or PDF. From the TZ competitors will exit to the Rec. Centre parking lot, turn left (West) onto  Amherst Drive and proceed to County Road #6. Turn right  (North) on County Rd. 6 to Taylor-Kidd Boulevard. A right turn (East) onto Taylor-Kidd Blvd. and the athletes will ride to the designated turn-around spot (distances vary with age, see chart above). Simply retrace your route to the TZ and get ready to run! The intersections at Amherst Dr./#6 and #6/Taylor-Kidd will be controlled by OPP and race marshals. The bike turn-around location will be controlled in the same manner. There is only one other intersection on the bike route and it will be controlled by race marshals. All roads & intersections are shown on the map, there are no others. There are no Industrial/Commercial sites on the bike route and the only residential driveways (a total of 5) are located on the East side of County Rd. #6. The turn-around locations are marked on the map at the appropriate locations. The race marshals and OPP on the course will be in constant communication with the race director and crew at the Transition Zone via long range two way radios.

THANKS TO THE ASSISTANCE OF LOYALIST TOWNSHIP AND THE COUNTY OF LENNOX & ADDINGTON THE ROADS WILL BE CLOSED TO TRAFFIC FOR THE CYCLING PORTION OF THE RACE! THE CYCLE COURSE WILL BE CONTROLLED BY OPP AND RACE MARSHALLS.

Run Route:
The run course features out and back routes for all age groups (see chart above). The start and finish to each run will be a 1/2 kilometer grass parkland route (between the Rec. Centre and Fairfield School) with a small hill near the end. The rest of the run will be on paved residential streets. Download the map here as a GIF or PDF. The turn-around locations are marked on the map.

Transition Zone:
A large, secure (fenced) area adjacent to the swim exit. The Transition Zone (TZ) is located on a level grass area between the pool exit and the bike mount/dismount line at the paved parking lot (see Run route map). The Finish chute, Finish line, Medical tent, Food/Refreshment tent and Podium/Awards Presentation area will be set up adjacent to the TZ. This is an ideal central location from which to watch the race unfold. There will be plenty of room for all the spectators and there is a walkway from the parking lot to the run route if you want to watch/cheer the older athletes on the run route. Bleachers are provided for spectator seating in advantageous areas.

All aspects of the event will be clearly marked and extensively monitored by race marshalls.
