LKOST FEEDBACK .gif)
"Thank you for a wonderful day at the KOS on Saturday. It was my daughter Amanda's first triathlon and she had a fantastic time. She is already talking about entering next years. My wife and I were impressed at how well organized everything was. I will gladly sign up again next year to help out. We were so very proud of Amanda for finishing the race. There was some amazing athletes out there. Thanks for organizing such a great event and giving our daughter a chance to show herself that she can do anything she puts her mind to doing." P. and D. Mullin (Amherstview)
"We just wanted to send a note to say how much fun we had at the KOS in Amherstview on Sat. We came from Bolton and the girls had a great time in the events and our families had a great time cheering and supporting them. We found the whole event to be very well organized and appreciated how helpful everyone was. In particular, we got there Fri. night for registration and then wanted to walk the girls through the course. When we spoke to the man in charge of the run he took his time and was very patient in helping us understand the run route. We listened to you describe the bike transition process to another family and felt that the kids had a good understanding of what they were to do the following day. We really liked the smaller numbers of competitors. Thanks again for a great day. We all said we want to come back again next year." S. Cameron (for the Cameron family and the Deboer's, Bolton)
"Just a quick note to thank you for all your hard work in running this years Loyalist Kids of steel. This was my daughters first tri experience and it was overwhelmingly a positive experience. I was pleasantly surprised at how much the focus was on participation and fun and not just on the winners. I cannot give enough praise to your volunteers. I hate to admit I was a late arrival and caused some last minute headaches for the registration people. Guy and all his volunteers rushed about and got my daughters things together and were so nice about it all. I am grateful. Once again thanks to you, your family and all your dedicated volunteers. We will be back next year and hope to volunteer as well." J. Russell (Napanee)
"We would really like to thank you again for giving our boys the opportunity to get out and do this great sport at such young ages. We've told so many people about it, and believe it was one of the best organized races we've ever been involved with. Thanks again." S. and W, Jennings (Ottawa)
"Great race. The organization was fantastic. I can't even think of a suggestion for an improvement. I am convinced that courses with multiple loops and different loops for the various ages are very difficult to pull off without fiascos. Once again great race. My 4 kids had a great day. Thanks." J. Boocock (Woodlawn)
"Just to echo what others have apparently already confirmed to you; great triathalon and wonderfully organized. Mallorie had only been in one other so we don't have much to compare it to but it's hard to fathom where you could possibly improve. Cannot believe how quickly the results from each set were posted. Thank-you for a great event." J. Brodie (Ottawa)
"Just wanted to say thank you again for hosting an excellent race. The safety, design and great volunteers all made for a great race day. Many thanks." M. Voisin (Kitchner)
" We wanted to extend our thanks and appreciation for the wonderfull triathlon experience. It was a first for our family. We have all been inspired! We can only imagine the countless hours that went into the event which seemed organized in every way. We hope to be there next year with the kids participating and Jim and I there as volunteers. Thanks again. " H. Peterson (Kingston)
"Thank you for your support and enthusiasm. The atmosphere created for the children is absolutely one of the most positive experiences I have been involved with. I can't brag enough." G. Fischer (Amherstview)
"Thanks for another great race this year! When speaking with some other parents at the Ottawa race they were also impressed with how well organized, smoothly run, and safe your race was. We look forward to another good one next year and will again make sure to sign up early. Thanks again!" W. Harnden (Grafton)
"I want to sincerely thank you and your counterparts for making Saturday such a wonderful experience. Both Chris and Michael had a great time and alot of laughs along the way. They both have alot of great memories. Thank you for everything." M. VanLaren (Kingston)
"My son raced in the Loyalist KOS Tri this past weekend. It was his first triathlon ever and he thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It was a very well organized and well run event and all the kids seemed to have a great time. Thank you!" G. Braida (Kingston)
"As usual, you and your team did a superb job. It was a great day despite the weather - everyone had fun and the day went off without a hitch noticable to the athletes and their parents. congrats on a great event - many could learn from your organizational mastery!." A. Hunt (Kingston)
"Just wanted to say how impressed we were with our first "Kids Of Steel Triathlon"! Thanks to you and all your crew for a fantastic event." K. Wright (Kingston)
"Thank you so much for a superbly run triathlon. It was my daughter's and my son's first triathlon and the good news is they would like to do another. You and your team have a wonderful event. Thank you very much." K. Manning (Belleville)
"Just a note to say thanks for making the kid's triathlon such a great event. My daughter had a ball. The level of organization at the Amherstview KOS was off the scale. You could tell it made a difference to kids and parents alike--everyone was relaxed and happy. Well done." M. Curtis (Hartington)
"Alexander enjoyed participating in triathlons this year - especially at Loyalist. We left Toronto at 5am that July morning with two kids in tow, driving into overcast skies and eventually the rain! Arriving in Amherstview we were greeted by cheerful event volunteers and smiles all around. Alexander was a bundle of excitement and nerves. When he exited the transition with a big smile on his face and arrived back with an equally huge smile riding his bike I knew he was happy. Thank you for running such a solid event. I can only imagine the time, effort and generosity in spirit that go into producing the Loyalist Triathlon. We look forward to seeing you again next year." A. Marcopoulos (Toronto)
"Just a quick note to send kudos for the outstanding job you did on the Loyalist KOS Triathlon. I'm duly impressed each time with the overall efficiency and with the detailed attention paid to safety issues. I also appreciate your interjections of humour during the running of the Tri. As a parent and spectator one realizes that the Tri is about a lot more than Swimming, Biking and Running. There's a wonderful family atmosphere that exists and the smiles on everyone's faces attests to this. Of course we're there to cheer on our own children, but there's also great camaraderie amongst the contestants and wholehearted cheering for everyone. Thanks Clive, for making note of the wonderful expression of sportsmanship that was exhibited by those girls that waited for their fallen comrade --- that speaks for the whole spirit of the Tri, and the sport in general. Great lessons to be learned in this atmosphere! I would like to volunteer at next years Loyalist Tri, so plug me in wherever theres need." S. Peters (Inverary)
“My two older boys participated in your triathlon today and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. I firmly believe that having children participate in events such as this not only enriches them as athletes but more importantly as human beings. Through the obvious efforts of your race organization all of the kids had the opportunity to experience something that they will carry with them long after the last competitor has crossed the finish line. You and your professional group of volunteers should be commended for a tremendous job down to the last detail. We will definitely be returning next year. Congratulations and Thank You.” C. Barr (Kingston)
“Our first experience with the Loyalist KOS Triathlon was a great one. The race was extremely well organized and the volunteers went the extra mile to help out. Alek (almost 9 yr old boy) worked really hard and seemed to enjoy himself. He was really happy with his running time and we'll make sure that he has the equipment and training to be competitive in the other 2 activities (if he agrees, of course). Thanks for all your fine effort and we'll see you next year.” M. Horsman (Amherstview)
“Just wanted to drop a line to say how much our family enjoyed the kid’s triathlon on Saturday. From registration Friday evening and all through race day everything went so smoothly. We realize all the effort you and the many volunteers must put in to make this happen so we want to let you know it is greatly appreciated and thank you very much. My wife and I remind our children to always try and say thanks to all the volunteers but I'm sure we couldn't get to all of them. Please forward our gratitude to them and to your race sponsors. P.S. My wife runs a running club at our local school and she loved your idea with the tennis balls as course markers!!!!” P. Zagar (Palgrave)
“Just wanted to thank you for a wonderfully run KOS this past Saturday. This was our first time at the Loyalist KOS and we hope to make it an annual thing if possible. Thank you to all the great volunteers as well. We were very impressed with how well informed you kept us and how organized everything was. It is probably the best run KOS we have seen so far in the three years we have participated. Thank you again too, for your patience and understanding working Evan back into the race. All the best to you and we hope to see you next year.” T. White (Oakville)
“I just wanted to drop a line to let you know that we had so much fun this past weekend. It was our daughter’s first triathlon and she enjoyed it so much that she wants to do it again. Everything was so well organized, and she found it very easy to follow where she was to go and do next. It just helped make it that much more enjoyable. Thank you for all your hard work.” W. Hunt (Mallorytown)
“My son participated in your triathlon this past weekend. We have only been to a few the last two years but I was so impressed with your event. It was extremely well organized and the volunteers were friendly and very helpful. My son enjoyed the experience and commented he would like to attend next year. So, a big thank you to you and your volunteers. I volunteer with our local soccer club so I am aware of the many hours that go into such an event. Congratulations!! Thanks!” D. Wooodfine (Cobalt)
“Just wanted to thank you and all of the Loyalist KOS planners, organizers and volunteers for the best run KOS event in
“Just wanted to say that our kids had a great time at the tri. This is the first year that they have competed in this event, but we have watched nieces and nephews compete for years and it has always been a success. Thank you again.” J. Cook (Inverary)
“Congratulations on executing a perfect race on Saturday. This is easily the best-run triathlon I've attended as an athlete or as a parent. I had a chance to volunteer this year while waiting for Robert to start his race, and even that was made easy by your team. I hope you're taking a break from the rigours of organizing such an event. See you at K-town!” L. Ross (Battersea)
