Here is a description of the various awards presented at the awards ceremony which is held shortly after the completion of the race.

Gold, silver and bronze trophies are presented to the top three athletes in each age group.

The Heart Trophy is presented to two athletes each year, one boy and one girl. This award is sponsored by the Loyalist Township Commuunity Policing Association in conjunction with the O.P.P. Auxiliary. The athletes are chosen by members of the LTCPA with the assistance of some 'Race Crew' volunteer members. The winners are chosen based on their level of enjoyment and/or perseverence at the competition, their respect and courtesy towards their fellow competitors and the 'Race Crew' members and their perseverence to continue and finish the race.

This award was created in 2007 in honour of one of our longtime race committee members. Dave Maskell was the finish line director from 2002 until 2005. Dave was an avid triathlete even though he did not take up the sport until he retired. Dave went on to complete numerous Ironman triathlons. Dave was a wonderful person to have at the finish line encouraging and congratulating the competitors. Dave was diagnosed with cancer and passed away in 2006 just after the Loyalist KOS Tri. We created this award to honour and remember him. The Dave Maskell award goes to the oldest athlete who is competing in their first triathlon. The inaugural recipient of this award is:
